COSTT representative: No electricity shortage, overloading

COSTT representative Eventar Zeqiri, after a meeting with Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, has said there is no lack of electricity in the country.

He explained that, although there is a huge burden on the network, this has led to the achievement of maximum power system capacity.

Zeqiri added that KESCO, as responsible for power supply, is importing missing energy, while COSTT is exploiting all balance capacity with Albania. He added that energy production is at the maximum level, with four blocs in office and an unemployed bloc.

So it's not about lack of energy, it's about the charge that has reached the maximum limit of the network,” Zeqiri said.
