The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has announced on Thursday that during the period of September until December 11th of this year, 28 political subjects have applied, out of them, 20 political parties, five coalitions, two civic initiatives and an independent candidate for the February 9th 2025 elections.
At a media conference, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has stressed that the total number of candidates for MPs, representing these political subjects, is 10,000 and 280 candidates.
In this case, Elez has suggested that the Central Election Commission will require competent institutions to make the necessary verifications of the candidate's adaptability or capacity to certified for participation in the February 9th 2025 elections.
Among other things, Elez has stressed that it is envisioned that on January 7th next year, the withdrawal of the lot for the ranking of political parties in the ballot for the 2025 elections will be made.
