Caused 19 accidents intended to take advantage of car security, 23-year-old Ferizaj arrested

A person aged 23 has been arrested because with the aim of profiting material has misused car insurance.

This was disclosed by a media announcement by Kosovo Police for the Ferizaj region.

The report said the suspect at the convoy leading to the “Rexep Bislimi”, in Ferizaj by car, caused a traffic accident and reportedly injured two of his countrymen.

“On the 1712.2024 The Regional Investigation Sector from the Road Communications Unit has accepted information that person G. B ( M/K), age 23, with the aim of profiting material, has misused car insurance. He is suspected that by the date 08.12.24, around the rotation that leads to the Rjep Bislimij Street in Ferizaj by car has caused a traffic accident and has reportedly injured two of his fellow travelers”, the report said.

The approach, according to the announcement, becomes known that regional investigators under state prosecutor's authorisation have expanded the investigation and based on the sight of security cameras at the site of the reported accident, allegedly deliberately increase the vehicle's speed, hitting another car.

“During the development of investigations, regional investigators have provided additional data that the suspect G.B. at different times was involved in 19 road communication accidents, 10 of them in circles and mainly as victims (injuring) of cases, while two other persons (passengers) in some cases of these incidents allegedly had insisted on cases of injuries. The suspect in all cases had used the cars he rented”, said the report.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the presence of the defence attorney has been interviewed by regional investigators, and with the decision of the state prosecutor has been detained for 48 hours for other investigative procedures.
