He stresses that Syrians “should have the opportunity to follow their own” path and adds that there is a strong “ <x2x3> to support a unified “approaches to Syria.
“We are conducting detailed discussions on what this will look like and I expect you to see states joining to support this approach”, he said, Skynews.
Blinken stressed that Syria's future process “should be led by Syrians themselves”.
However, when asked what this process will look like, he could not provide more details.
Asked also about an American citizen who was found in a prison in Syria, Blinken added that “cannot give details about what will happen, but we are working to bring him home and out of Syria”.
Otherwise, Syrian rebels have succeeded in removing the president, Bashar al-Assad, who had dominated politics in Syria for many years.
