An Albanian is among the 1500 people US President Joe Biden forgave or eased his sentences.
According to foreign media, Francesk Shkambin, sentenced in 2014 to 27 years in prison for running a criminal organization smuggling drugs into the United States from Albania.
The court documents show that Shkambi was responsible for trafficking large quantities of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and ecstasy pills.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Shkambi was expected to be released in 2029.
