An Azerbaijann minister has suggested that the passenger plane that crashed this week was hit by a gun, citing expert analysis and test of survivors.
The plane crash, Azerbaijan Airlines, caused the death of 38 people and left 29 injured, writes Skynews.
Rasad Nabiyev, minister of Digital Development and Transport, told local media that “preliminary concessions by experts” and witness evidence showed that the plane was hit from outside.
“The type of weapon used in the blow will be determined during the” investigation, Nabyev added.
Meanwhile, two American military officials told him NBC News that US intelligence officials think the Russians might have incorrectly identified the plane and crashed it.
Intelligence suggests Russian forces believed it was a threat and engaged in their air defence. /Telegraphy/
