The attempted murder of the police officer Reagon PK's Union: A criminal and unacceptable act

The KP union in this case has expressed deep concern and that for the same one has said it is a criminal and unacceptable act.

Also, from the union it has been said that this act is not only an attack on this police officer but is an attack on Kosovo institutions.

The Kosovo Police Union expresses deep indignation and concern for the serious incident, where a car with local license plates has attempted to hit a police official in office. The police officer, fortunately, has managed to avoid being hit by this car, while the suspect, during the move, has fired a gun from the vehicle window.

Thanks to the Kosovo Police's rapid and professional response, the suspect has been arrested and is currently facing legal procedures. This criminal and unacceptable act constitutes not only an attack on the police official, but a direct attack on the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, order and public security.

The union calls on justice bodies to act decisively, ensuring that the author of this act faces the maximum sentence the law envisions. The attacks on police officials should not be tolerated and should be addressed with priority to send a clear message that law and order are incompatible.

Police officials are the pillar of citizens' security and the protection of state institutions.

Kosovo police are in service of citizens and the Republic of Kosovo, and any acts of violence against it must be strongly punished by all. The union remains steadfast in supporting each member of the Kosovo Police and will continue to seek justice and maximum security for our officials.
