Ambassadors of Germany and France: Dialogue is the only way

Investigations into explosives in the Iber-Lepenc water channel are continuing, and bilateral charges are considered unnecessary. We invite everyone to allow the investigation to take its course”, said Jorn Rohde, German ambassador to Kosovo. “High Representative named this incident a terrorist, serious event and we are now in the [...] phase.

The high representative named this incident as terrorist, serious and now we are in the investigation phase. I don't think any such charges are needed. Let's let the investigation take its course. All actors, as I said before, must refrain from accusations that could violate stability and cause fear in citizens. So far there was no clear information to verify the author's identity. Therefore, we must let the investigation continue”, Ambassador Rohde said in an interview for RTK2.
Asked about the assessment of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the possibility of turning to dialogue, France's ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Gueraud, has stressed that dialogue has no alternative.
“Thank you for inviting us to present the views of our countries -- Germany and France -- which share the same tests when it comes to dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. We are deeply convinced that dialogue has no alternative and that it is the only way to resolve problems and normalise relations. It is necessary for the citizens of Kosovo, but also of Serbia, Ambassador Gueraud said.
The lack of results in dialogue shows how important it is to achieve a successful dialogue because it directly affects people's lives in Kosovo”, he stressed.
