There are four cases in children that are alarming that we should not have cases in children that this infection is 100% preventable if a pregnant mother is diagnosed, resulting from the failure of pregnant women. We've tested 70,000 women from 20,000 births this year. We failed to implement protocols. One in 3 infected women infects the baby, and the baby is born with big problems”.
Doctors Harxhi points out that out of 119 cases filed in our country with HIV Aids, 80 of them are males who, according to him, stem from homosexual relations, even though in reports they claim otherwise.
If we look at the figures this year 3/4 of the 119 cases 80 are in men. We report that most are through heterosexual relationships, our belief that bisexual reports are unreported because of problems related to stigma. Gay men don't declare sexual orientation status. We would not want to fall into a position of discrimination for this group. Rysk has to do with sexual behavior patterns. Casual and multipartial models increase the risk of transmission. This group is hard to achieve that you imagine a 20-year-old who hasn't told anyone and contacts do through social networks”.
According to the doctor, active testing and early stages is a key to prevention.
There's a growing trend of number of cases, even though we're analyzing the cases that come to us by reporting. We should have even more precise figures related to clinical studies to assess risks. Incidents, privalences and groups at risk. These need studies, but we don't. Late testing is Albania's issue not only. The key to the Hiv Aids is this; if it doesn't change human behavior, what science teaches us is that we have to be active with the diagnosis that through early diagnosis it heals. Active testing and early stages is key to preventing”.
