Donald Trump is continuing to complete the government cabinet before officially assuming the presidential post on January 20th.
He has announced that the Republican Congressman of Florida, Mike Waltz, will be the national security adviser.
I am honored to announce that Congressman Mike Waltz (R-FL) is appointed to serve in my cabinet as National Security Council. Mike is the first to be elected to Congress and served in the White House and the Pentagon. Mike served in the Army Special Forces for 27 years, where he was sent to war several times, for which he received four “Bronse Stars”, including two valors. Mike retired as Colonel and is a prominent leader in National Security, Trustseller and expert on threats representing China, Russia, Iran and global terrorism”, Trump wrote on the Social Truth.
“Mic has been a strong supporter of my first foreign policy America, and will be an extraordinary supporter of our peace efforts through power! ”, Trump added.
Waltz's wife, Dr. Julia Nesshiwatt, a war veteran, has previously served as adviser to National Security during Trump's first administration.
In this role, Waltz will be tasked with managing a number of geopolitical conflicts that the Trump administration will take over as part of the second term, including the Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Haams wars.
