Analyst Nexmedin Spahiu has made an interesting comparison about the construction of the railway for Thessaloniki, Mitrovica, and later in Ferizaj during 1871-1874.
As Spahiu says, construction of the Ferizaj-Mitrovica railway took place within a year using the power of animals and workers, until it links it to the 20-year delay in expanding the Pristina-Mitrovica road.
Spahiu issues sharp criticism, saying that works for 20 years are lasting in technology.

The Thessaloniki Mitrovica Railway left in Thessaloniki in 1871, arrived in Ferizaj in 1873, while in Mitrovica in 1874. That means that by the time there was neither bulldoze nor escavers, and things were done by the power of animals and workers, railways from Ferizaj to Mitrovica were completed within a year. And in the 20th century, with modern technology, expansion of the Pristina road Mitrovica is lasting 20 years and a god knows when it ends. The renovation of the same railway that Sultan AbdelAziz has built for a year is lasting 20 years and is unknown when it ends. Here is the seriousness of a country.
