He has announced that his release from all charges has been made after an investigative process that has lasted over five years.
This is a great and important victory, which confirms my innocence but also the purity and glory of the KLA. Thanks to my lawyers, Sir Geoffrey Nice and Taulant Hodaj, and their insistence on closing the investigation for lack of evidence, this week I received official confirmation that everything has finally closed”, he reported on Facebook.
He has yet said that this is the first case closed to war crimes criminal acts investigated by this prosecutor formally.
I believe that my case will contribute to justice saying the final word for our fellow fighters still in The Hague, and I hope that they will return white and victorious as soon as possible. Our struggle, as a people, has been a fair and legitimate struggle for freedom against the Serbian-Yugoslav occupier, who have committed serious crimes against our people. Our liberation war was impervious and fair”, Buya added.
