LDK's deputy candidate, Berat Rukiqi, has stressed the need for change of mind in Kosovo over how people perceive an entrepreneur.
“We are not just talking about economic growth that will increase by 1.5 percentage points (from 3.5 to 5), we are talking about transformation of the economy. To achieve this transformation, thinking must be transformed. The importance that is especially highlighted in recent years in the absence of projects, investments, hopes, any investment that affects jobs, health, education, energy, etc. The first part of transformation of mind has to do with the way we see the economy. Being rich in Kosovo today is a sin. The first equals thieves, equals Mafia, criminal groups, etc. In that group, both businesses and a small entrepreneur elsewhere, a paid analyst. Anyone who has something today is seen as a thief. That's the basic problem.
For such thinking, Rukiqi has blamed Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who, according to him, tries to hide from the public meetings with businessmen.
The prime minister today hides business meetings in various forms. On the other hand, there are indicators that those who go to the prime minister's office should be submitted with other documents so that they are not identified as meeting the prime minister. It aims to sow the ideology that these businesses, these people who make money in Kosovo in sweat, these have done it, not by any ability, but because they have met someone or benefited from any tender.” Rukiqi said on T7's “show Prevising”.
