In contrast, Fatmir Balaj, who has so far served as commander of the Special Operational Unit, has been transferred to the position of commander of the Central Station.
The news is confirmed by Kosovo Police for Reporter's newspaper.
The “Reference to your request is informed that, based on organisational structure, assessments, and police needs, decisions have been issued for two KP officials for systems in office, for Maj Bekim Bislimi Bislimi Director of the Capital Directorate and Captain Fatmir Balaj wage commander of the Pristina Police Station.” says in response to the Kosovo Police Department.
The appointment of Major Bislim means capital police are functioning.
The warning of forming the Capital Police was made by Police Director Gazmend Hoxha.
Hoxha had said the project envisions a special director for Pristina to be established with “a unique” structure, including traffic units, rapid reaction units and investigative units.
