The Democratic Party of Kosovo has voiced opposition to the 2025 budget vote.
This party's MP, Mergim Lushtaku, has said that citizens will not see budgetary planning by the Kurti government.
“Today, before I talk about budgetary planning, I want to tell you that four years have passed, not even a major project that is important for this time that you are led to at least be proud of. The biggest loss is being done to businesses, finance, diplomacy, but most are being done to Kosovo. This is a budgetary planning that doesn't even affect anything, a plan that this country and this people don't see as good as”.
We have seen that any planning of this government has been weak. The state budget is not kidding, unless properly drafted, it will worsen the situation to the extreme as expected. Now four years we have a survival budget and no developmental budget. This bill envisions that there will be increased state budgets, but we need to stress that there has been economic growth every year over the past 10 years. Citizens are being given a lesson for him, Lushtaku said.
He said 32 percent of the budget will be spent on the destruction of manufacturing businesses.
The “only 7.33 percent are new projections the government envisions. The government has no developmental vision. We will not vote on this Kosovo bill. This budget and bad planning will not last long, just a few months, because after February 9th a new government will come, he said.
The government has no developmental vision and this is seen in capital investments. For these and many other reasons we will not vote on this project and we will stress that this budget and this planning will not last for just two months because after February 9th a government will come...”
