Osmani: Association Draft Left US, Not Someone Who Does Not Believe in Kosovo's Independence

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has also mentioned the European Union-led Kosovo dialogue.

In this regard, Osmani says this dialogue has been unbalannized, and with an unfair treatment of Kosovo and a continued Serbia's co-ordination, Klankosova reported.tv.

“Dialogue with EU-led Serbia has unfortunately been completely unbalancing with an unfair treatment of Kosovo and an ongoing Serbia co-operation. The fact that at the table of dialogue today, the state that carried out aggression against Kosovo is not under measure, while the victim of this aggression, Kosovo, is under measure, is the clearest evidence of this. Therefore, it is imperative that there be reflections on this approach, from all those who really want peace and lasting stability in our region. But, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't self-reflect for the current route and how things can be done better”, the country's first expressed.

Osmani also said that the Association draft should be discussed with the US, so that this issue will not be left to Lajcak or others who do not believe in Kosovo's independence.

I have to regret that the proposals I have often made for improving this process are faced with a series of low deninforms and attacks, which have no appeal to anyone in Kosovo. To be even clearer, when I've proposed that the association draft start to be discussed with the U.S., so that this issue is not left to Lajcak and others who do not believe in Kosovo's independence, it doesn't mean that I'm asking for the foundation of association, but it has meant that I have more trust myself and America than some Democrats from non-recognitional states, I believe that a draft that defends the constitution, protects our sovereignty, and defends our state's function, and that we are better drafted by the mandate we have received from Kosovo, than some <xper> of the external states that have never believed in the independent draft of Kosovo, Osman offspring.

Unfortunately this proposal of mine was then hit in the lowest way, with a kind of slander to slander for national treason. Where are we today? We are at the very moment the same is being asked, so we can draft the draft. But, as it is known, right decisions should be made at the right time. The same is happening these days, with a kind of low-pronounced slander that the President is looking for a “unilateral signing of the” agreement. That's a lie. As alternative, as president of the country I believe that if it is finally seen that Serbia will not implement its part of the agreement (which I believe it will not, even if it signed), then we would have to discuss with our allies, implementing our share only in exchange for international guarantees involving NATO membership and international organisations, security guarantees through BSA, and support for new recognition. In short, for me, more than the signing of the president of Serbia is important to the signing of the president of America. I hope that I'm pretty clear”
