NGO network in Ferizaj, AV ONET has declared that calling four people is an extremely alarming event for public security and represents a clear signal to the public uncertainty facing citizens of this municipality.
Unfortunately, similar incidents, including repeated slaughters and beatings, have profoundly affected the sense of uncertainty facing citizens”, the report says.
“AVONET expresses deep concern over the alarming state of public security at Ferizaj, a situation that highlights the lack of effectiveness of local acts responsible for this area. Sadly, the Ferizaj Community does not hold in place an important mechanism for ensuring security, such as the Municipal Security Council in Community. - KKSB. This forum, aimed at identifying and handling public security issues, would have to be at the centre of community co-operation and institutions”, the announcement follows.
Civil society organisations say the role of co-operation between the Kosovo Police and the community is essential, given the Community Police Strategy.
Unfortunately, this co-operation appears to have weakened, losing its effectiveness in addressing the challenges facing the community”.
AVONET raised the alarm on the lack of communication between institutions and citizens, which, according to them, directly affects the identification and prevention of such tragic events.
“This situation requires an immediate response and a strengthened co-operation to restore public confidence and security”, said in response.
