“Misfit content” Four municipalities ban the use of controvers manuals for sexual education

Four municipalities have come out against the Doracakes -- Sex Education and Reproductive Health -- 1-5, 6-9 and 1012 -- deciding to stop using them in schools, following numerous reactions over their content, which has been described as abusive to children. So far, such a decision has been made by the Pristina Community, Sslipright, Fushe Kosova [...]
The first community to decide against using these mitters was Pristina's.
The deputy head of this municipality, once Director for Education, Jehona Lusshak Sadriu, announced this decision until he urged other municipalities to do the same, naming the contents of the manuals as “perverted content”.
It is unprecedented, how this power is mistreating the Kosovo family. It is scandalous how the ruling minister, at the head of the only institution responsible for textbooks, has approved and promoted material with perverted content. These texts, rather than burst into knowledge and basic discussion of sexual education, have preceded activities in practice- touching children under the age of adequate. This content is not only harmful but also abusive with children”, Lucak Sadriu wrote.
Its post was also distributed by LDK chief Lumir Abdixhiku, who supported it.
After Pristina, such a decision was made by the Sslipright Community.
Director for Education Kastriot Duraku has said that the reason for this decision, which has been taken in consensus and co-operation with teachers and school directors, “has to do with the degradation of the Kosovo family on the part of the responsible institutions, and as such will not be used in any educational institution in the Skyerwright municipality until his response”
Fushe Kosova joined the decision. According to this municipality, the contents of these gloves are harmful and abusive to children.
“Representatives of the Fushe Kosovo municipality from the Education Directorate and during discussions with August on this subject have expressed concern about the content of the guidelines where practical activities were envisioned, affecting children under the age of adequate. Unfortunately, this government has not taken on the basis of reasonable remarks and concerns expressed by competent government officials in the field of education and parents' representatives, and refraining from being such approved by MART is harmful and unacceptable. ”
A decision to stop the gloves will be made today by the City of the Year. The mayor of this municipality, Sokol Haliti, knew about this.
This decision will be made after we have examined the contents of these instructions and concerns raised by the representatives of the municipality and the parents regarding the appropriateity of proposed activities and materials. We believe that the content of these gloves is not appropriate for our children and students and can negatively affect their healthy development. This is a provision that will be deliberately undertaken to protect the interests and welfare of our students as well as to ensure that education is in line with our values and standards. ”
The Ministry of Education has announced there will be revisions of these mitters, stressing that they are not binding and that they are not textbooks for students.
“Propaganda, which is taking place in the last few days, accompanied by deninforms and manipulations, arguing that these gloves are educational curriculums and then presenting them as textbooks for students to the responsibility of implementing them, are at the expense of the welfare and security of children. As the minister of education, we work with full responsibility and engage in the welfare of our children. For the past three years, we have revised many texts and documents that have inappropriate content and deignive languages, as well as scientific inaccuracies. In line with this, we inform you that following the revision of the textbooks will also be revised these mitts and other information material for the teaching”, says the MART response.
