Memli Krasniqi: Bedri Hamza is Kosovo's prime minister today

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, at the opening of the PDK Convention, has said that more than a union for the party, this convention is a pledge for a better Kosovo.

“Sote, on the vision of a better Kosovo, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is launching a new era. As Chairman PDK, I promise you we will lead by example. You will see the difference in every decision of any project we take over. Any challenge we will consider. Kosovo deserves a government that serves, protects and empowers its people, not a government that seeks to serve itself, as this present one has done for four years”, the chairman of the country has said. Leader of The PDK has said that with the governance of Bedri Hamza, from economy to infrastructure, from education to health, from safety to diplomacy, in each area, the vision of The PDK is clear: better.

To achieve this, each of us must start changing from ourselves. As head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, I have decided first to make this change. Therefore, with full conviction I have nominated a candidate for Prime Minister Bedri Hamza. I've done this for many reasons, but I tell you one that sums it all up: I am convinced that Bedri Hamza is the best prime minister Kosovo can have today. Kosovo should make it better”, Krasniqi has said.

“As someone who worked long with Bedriu and knows him well, I assure you that at Bedriu, Kosovo will find not just a prime minister, but a man determined to make our country stronger, more proud and better”, he added.

In the middle of his speech, Krasniqi has stopped to honour the two former PDK leaders, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini, where a video describing not only their journey but also Kosovo's successes during the PDK government was broadcast.

I know and I understand, that like me, you both miss each of you very much and we look forward to bringing them back to families and friends. But until then, let us make a promise together. Your dreams, woven in our party vision for a better Kosovo, will move them forward: The Democratic Party of Kosovo is ready for this task”, Krasniqi has said.

At the end of his speech, Krasniqi has said that the love and contribution story for Kosovo continues with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, asking each citizen not to stop or surrender to the mission to make Kosovo better.

The Kosovo Democratic Party, through courage for change, will build a future that honours our political heritage. And that future is a future that brings new opportunities and a better life for every family in our country”, it has ended.
