Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia has criticised food shortages reports at KSF, calling them false and promoted by malicious services.
Macedonia has commented on media reports the past few days for lack of food for the Kosovo Security Force (FSK).
Macedonia has named these news as false “” and driven by external and internal forces that, according to him, aim to create uncertainty and destabilise the country's security.
The real news was an inappropriate thing. Especially when we bear in mind the fact that for no moment, no KSF soldier is left without bread, as has often been presented in the media. And it's continuing to be introduced from time to time. I think it was more of a collective hysteria, that has engulfed not only the media but other people. This could also have been postponed by internal and external factors, which are not necessarily wanting the best for our country and KSF”, Macedonia said at Debat Plus.
The minister suggested that some of these reports may have been prompted by individuals holding in touch with foreign services and aiming to violate Kosovo's interests.
“Brenda country can still have factors that have their connections outside Kosovo. More precisely, there have been times when even persons who continue to work for foreign services have been identified. And the bad guys for our country. It has been fed as news from malicious services, increased, shaped into uncertainty. Without taking into account the official statements, which are from all staff of the ministry”, the minister has added Macedonia.
Macedonian has also declared the process of appointing Gafurr Dugolli as secretary general of the Ministry of Defence. He said this process was followed according to regular procedures, given the candidates' results, rather than family ties.
Gafurr Dugolli, brother of Vetevendosje Movement MP Enver Dugolli, was appointed to this position after meeting the required criteria, according to Macedonia.
The ministry has added that selection has been made by focusing on the competition process, not on candidates' surnames.
I believe it would continue the same. It wasn't a name issue or a surname. Even when he was asked. I see processes I don't see names. Normalist everyone can be somebody's brother. And everyone can be in a position in institutions. Gafurri was part of the KPC and the Ministry of Defense. There was nothing related to Enver Dugolli's name. I appreciate that I can't deny my brother, brother an application or compete in a” position, Macedonia said in Dabbat Plus.
The Independent Supervisor Council for the Kosovo Civil Service had confirmed to Dukagjin that it had warned the Defence Ministry that Gafurr Dugolli was appointed by the Government as Secretary without completing the terms of complaints at the KKPSHCK.
Macedonia has indicated the steps it took to preserve the legality of the process, demanding suspension of appointment until the issue of complaints is clarified, but that it received no response from the government.
“I have accepted a report (from the human sources of the MM) that has suggested that it is a fair process, that one of the candidates, more precisely Secretary Dugolli has received enough points to be MM secretary general. Then, on September 18th by the Independent Supervisor Council, I have received an announcement announcing that there are two complaints in the process that have not been reviewed. And I immediately took steps to preserve the legality of the process. And I have submitted a request to cancel the decision on the appointment of Gafurr Dugolli. I requested the dismissal by referring to the announcement I received from the Independent Supervisor Council. Then on the 23rd, we have accepted a statement by the Independent Council of Overseers, that the two complaints have been unsuccessful, that he has rejected complaints and, as such, the process has continued to remain such as it was”, Macedonia added.
