Limaj: The Quran was clearly opposed. KLA, if it has a veteran's certificate, then he's a fake veteran.

Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has said Prime Minister Albin Kurti is a false veteran of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) and that he himself knows that.

Limaj has said Prime Minister Kurti is not his associate.

According to Limaj, Kurti had no position in the KLA guerrilla war, even though he had all the opportunities to be part of it.

Beyond what I'm saying, you can hear what Albin Kurti himself has declared. There's no need for me to prove it to him. We have a voice and a picture of Kurt when he said I'm not a soldier I don't believe in a liberation fight. Unfortunately, there are individuals who own the veteran's certificate and who were not part of the KLA, but if Kurt has one, he is a fake veteran. We recognise his activity, he was an interpreter of Adem Demac at his office in Pristina”, Limaj said in Paradox.

The former Minister of Infrastructure has added that Kurti has probably been part of the KLA, but that he himself has not expressed wishes. According to Limaj, Kurti had even commented on the Rambouillet agreement, which was signed saying one should not be signed.

When the moment came after the Rambobill Agreement, Kurt had the opportunity to line up in the NLA after he travelled to war zones along with Adem Demac. We had an appointment with him, and he was with us three times, accompanying Adam. Last time it was after the signing of the Rambouillet Agreement, when we had just accepted one, while he told us whether it was right to accept this deal”, Limaj said.

Limaj has gone further, questioning even his arrest by Serbian forces in April of 99.

“How it is possible that the OSCE of all international organisations left when Kurti remained in Pristina. Why did he stay in Pristina, what did he expect? That's why he's been arrested. He's had a lot of options to leave, but he hasn't left. This is all his history”, Limaj said.
