Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani hosted a delegation of the Labour Friends of Kosovo group from the United Kingdom, which has congratulated them on their party's victory in the recent elections.
According to the presidency's announcement, Osmani has stressed that establishing this group is an important moment in reports between the two states and that it will play an important role in the stable partnership between the two states.
“President Osmani has thanked the United Kingdom for its steadfast commitment to Kosovo's support, as well as its continued commitment to peace and stability in the region”, the report said.
“with Labusists came freedom”, President Osmani quoted former Prime Minister Tony Blair's words in 1999, so in this context it has underlined the necessity of continuing Kosovo's support from the United Kingdom.
According to President Osmani, a secure and stable Kosovo contributes directly to a safer Europe. So, it's highlighted that in the field of bilatheral cooperation, co-operation in the field of defence and security should have particular focus.
The point is that at the meeting, among other things, the deepening of co-operation in other areas of mutual interest and benefit of citizens in both states was discussed.
