DUI leader Ali Ahmeti has commented on the intervention of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the recent elections in Northern Macedonia.
In an interview for “Radio Free Europe”, Ahmeti has said that in election processes it is not good to intervene either from Kosovo or Albania.
The first DUI has said that citizens of these countries know their problems better.
“It is not good to make interventions -- neither from Albania nor from Kosovo -- nor from the Republic of Northern Macedonia to intervene in processes, both in Kosovo and Albania. Circumstances are well known for those who live and are organised politically, both in Albania and Kosovo. They know how to solve problems. The people who live there know very well who can best represent citizens, Kosovo Albanians, and Albanians of Albania, as well as in northern Macedonia”, Ahmeti has said.
He has suggested that any intervention can bring consequences and friction.
Any possible intervention can bring, friction, disagreement or grief towards politicians, whether in Albania or Kosovo. Here's an example: Artan Grubi has been replaced by Ivan Stoilkovijqi, who is minister for Political Systems and Community Account responsibility, Ahmeti has said.
