Kamala Harris: Continue support for Kosovo

The democratic candidate for the November 5th US elections, Kamala Harris, has been addressed with an open letter to the Albanian American community, where she also praises the strong ties of Albanians to the US. In the letter it also highlights American aid for Kosovo's independence and support that will continue to give, if it is to be in the White House, following the November 5th elections.

Albanian subx0> American people have made valuable contributions to our nation for generations, showing a deep commitment to family, community and freedom efforts. There are hundreds of thousands of Albanian Americans living in the United States, and the stability of the Albanian American community continues to inspire us all”, Kamala Harris begins.

It estimates the continued contribution of Albanian Americans, who say Albanians from workers, small businesses, have already reached various professions -- to medicine, to justice, and elsewhere in public services.

Albanian subx0> American people have contributed profoundly to the structure of our nation, enriching communities with their entrepreneurial spirit, strong family values and deep commitment to civil education and engagement. From owners of small businesses to professionals in medicine, law and public service, Albanian Americans have played a key role in developing local economies and strengthening the social structure of towns and villages throughout the country.

Since more than a century, starting in the Paris Peace Conference after World War I, Americans and Albanians have shared a special bond. Even today, Albanian Americans remember that it was the United States of America that stood by at that important moment for Albania's independence.

I want to confirm the strong partnership between the United States and Albania. Albania is a stable ally NATO, and I am grateful for Albania's promotion of stability in the region, as well as its leadership in the UN Security Council during the months following Russia's vicious invasion of Ukraine”, Harris wrote.

The United States has also led European allies and partners to support the independence and historic sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo and continue to support a multiethnic and democratic Kosovo, fully integrated into the international community.

I understand the unique challenges in our country, that many of the Albanian American community face and I engage in policies that empower this community, including the struggle for a potential economy and protection of civil rights for all. The participation of Albanian Americans in our democracy is more important than ever. Together we can form a future that reflects our common values and aspirations” has highlighted Kamala Harris.

“Thank you for everything you contribute to this large country”, completes its letter, the US vice president, who is awaiting the vote of American citizens for presidential elections to be held Tuesday, November 5th. / RTK/
