An Italian convict who was serving his sentence at the Shkodra prison has died in the hospital in Tirana. A statement by the Directorate of Prisons media explains that 64-year-olds have undergone cardiac arrest yesterday.
Citizens Cristiano Trapani kept the status of the detainees and was transferred from the Shkodra Penal Location Execution Institute.
He resulted in an eight-year prison sentence on charges of producing and selling narcotics.

Italian citizen Cristiano Trapani, mother of Umberto, mother of Panicia Santa, of the 9th birthday.11.1960, born in Torrice and resident in Fronone, Cecano, Italy, with the status of the detained, transferred from IEVP Shkoder, has now passed away, on the 1911.2024, at the Oncology Hospital “in Tirana, about 11:30, after a cardiac arrest.
The patient was laid by 28.10,2024 at the Hospital Prison Center (QSB) with diagnosis: The Limfadenopath for detection. While in the QSB, he underwent all necessary laboratory and imaging tests. After consultations with the medical team, he was recommended surgery for the seizure of biopsy, which was scheduled to be conducted at the Oncological Hospital.
By Decision No. 1433, the date 16,11.2022, the Shkodra Judiciary Circle Court had sentenced it to 8 years in prison for criminal activity “production and selling narcotics”, envisioned by Article 283/a-22 Penal Code. Further, no. 681, the 28.09.2024, Court of General Juriscition Shkodra has decided the legal assessment of the arrest for criminal acts envisioned by articles 283/2 and 324/a/1 of the Criminal Code.
