Mustafa recalls that from the old Trump administration, he has not heard them demand exchange of territories, only if someone from Kosovo has proposed.
The past “Administrator Trump had the idea that the final agreement precede policies promoting economic development, employment and poverty reduction in both countries. I've never heard of the representatives of that administration asking for an exchange of territories. We are told we will support the solution you offer. If someone from Kosovo has offered such a option is another matter”, Mustafa told Periscope.
However for this future administration, Mustafa says it will be more firm in implementing the agreement with Serbia.
According to him, the new White House President Donald Trump will not tolerate the process being prolonged by the parties.
I think that the Trump administration will be more efficient and cut in reaching and implementing the agreement with Serbia. Generally speaking, the disk of the Republicans is very concrete and understandable, in style... we support you if you support yourselves. If you're not interested in peace and stability, then why would we be more interested than you...! Therefore, we must count on the logic that the process, which is ongoing by both sides, will not be tolerated by Trump”, Mustafa told Periscope.
Former Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa has said that Kosovo is interested in having close relations with the United States.
But according to him, the Government of Kosovo is ignoring the US, while Serbia is behaving differently why it was bombed by them.
We must first understand that relations with the US are based on political interests and on this basis to assess who has the most interest that these relations are close. Of course Kosovo! If we act contrary to this, then we violate our interests. Just remember how Serbia is dealing with the United States, which was bombed in 1999 and how the country's government was ignoring it that same year.
