Kamala Harris has given a speech after losing the November 5th election and congratulated rival Donald Trump on the victory.
The vice president, met with loud applause, turned to her supporters. Among other things, she said she would continue to fight for her beliefs, including women's rights.
My heart is full today,” said Harris, starting her speech. “Plot gratitude for the trust you have given me, full of love for our country and full of commitment”.
The light of America's promise will always be as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting”, she adds.
Harris continues to thank her family, including her husband, whom she calls my beloved “Doug”, as well as Jill and Joe Biden, and her candidate Tim Walz and his family.
She thanks her team, volunteers who provided “as much of themselves”, survey workers and local election officials.
