In a Facebook post, the former prime minister stressed the need for removing restrictive measures that are currently hindering the development of this important economic sector.
“There is no normal country that does not use resources due to nature,” said Haradinaj, comparing the situation with neighbouring countries like Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia, which have developed admirable capacities in mountain tourism. He stressed that thousands of mountain dwellers have built objects that can be exploited for tourist purposes.
The prime ministerial candidate promised that after the February 9th elections, among his first tasks would be the elimination of legal and administrative barriers that are currently hampering the development of tourism in Kosovo mountains.
“All these objects will enter the legalisation phase and will be included in the overall tourist capacities,” added Haradinaj, underlining the need for changes to the legal basis, including the space plan.
