The head of the Kosovo Oil Association, Fadil Beryan, has declared that the Kosovo oil market has had an ongoing stability in prices for the past two months, standing at levels acceptable to consumers.
Berjani has said that currently, the price of an oil liter in the country ranges from 1.17 to 1,27 euros, while gasoline from 1.19 to 1.26 euros.
He stresses that at present there is no expected price hikes.
Kosovo, according to Berjan at the price of derivatives, is in the freest region, after northern Macedonia.
“As far as the prices of oil derivatives on the Kosovo market, which two months have not changed, the market has been very stable, and prices have been very high. The concrete cases a litre of oil derivatives are 1.17 to 1,27, gasoline 1.19 to 1.26. There was movement, but there were little moves. For our citizens the price of oil derivatives always complain that it's expensive I understand, but Kosovo is at prices in the freest region, after northern Macedonia. Check prices in Macedonia today behave around 1 euro and 10 cents, while in states in the region Albania, Serbia is 1.80-90. For the standard what we have, the price was to be real 1 euro”, he said.
Berjan stressed that the global crises and recent conflicts have not affected rising oil prices, but, according to him, increases are due to reductions in production in the international market.
The wars that have occurred, America doesn't give that opportunity or that satisfaction to anyone to increase oil derivatives, have not affected wars, but it is only the reduction of oil production when there are pre-coal reductions automatically there are price increases across the globe”, he said.
Berjan praised the Kurti government for adopting the Law on Oil, which has passed after more than a decade of waiting, he has added that the law in question has made appropriate reform in this sector at the reduction of costs, including equipment licensing and calibration fees.
He has said that the country's oil sector is now at the right level regulated, according to the laws the European Union has.
However, Berjani called on the government to set criteria for building new petrol stations, based on EU standards for minimum distance between points.
“As far as oil law was concerned after a decade or more or more than a decade, 12 years went by Prime Minister Kurti the Oil Law as well as the work that Roseta Hajdari has done well is to be praised because she was tried by the former governments, former ministers tried to have only three people having a monopoly but failed. Oil law passes, oil sector is at the right level of concrete case a license was previously paid 2,23,000The euro, today a license for import paid only 50 euros, so the calibration of the pines has been 36 euros, already paid 12 euros, which means the oil sector is at the right level. We have made a request to Prime Minister Kurti, when he still appeals and requires that request be taken into account, not allowed to build fuel stations over and over. The Oil Association is not against the construction of gas stations, but we want that criteria such as the criteria in the European Union, for example, I'm taking the distance on 15km, 10-km municipal roads on the 25km highway. We have written to the prime minister and I believe and I hope that we will have a positive response”, Berjan told EO.
He also stressed all oilmen's demands are approved in Albin Kurti's government.
The “all requirements in the law are envisioned and are in the law, so that the oil sector is at the right level regulated by laws which the European Union has”, he has said.
