Kosovo Police Inspectors of the Department of Investigations have arrested a police official today on suspicion that the same had committed criminal work “Public Traffic Respectation” in an official car traffic accident. The accident is reported to have occurred in 05.11.2024 around 0500 p.m. at the intersection of the “Nation witnesses” and “Henri Dunant” in Pristina. Two cars, an official Kosovo Police car and the Skoda Octavia model, were involved in the accident, and a private Skoda Karovic model car, which has been running a citizen of Vushtrri”, reports the IKP.
“As a consequence of this accident allegedly, serious bodily injuries had been suffered by car driver Skoda Karovic, who was sent to KKUKU Pristina. The police officer who was running the official car was suspended on IPK's recommendation on the day of the accident. Yesterday in the afternoon IPK has been reported by Kosovo Police that the injured citizen as a result of this accident has unfortunately changed his life and that the dead's lifeless body has been sent to the Legal Medicine Institute to perform autopsy”, the report said.
To the arrested police, the prosecutor has appointed the 48-hour ban.
“In the continuation of the investigative action company and according to the state prosecutor's instructions, today the IPK has arrested police official on suspicion that the same has committed criminal work “Public Traffic Respectation” and the same with the prosecutor's decision to have the detention measure assigned for 48 hours”, the statement said.
