“The smuggling, illegal access to goods and weapons in Kosovo, has created distressing situations for our citizens in the north, who faced criminals ' power have lived under constant blackmail and pressure”.
“As Government, over the last 2 years, we've discovered and blocked illegal smuggling routes. Today, Kosovo Police, together with intelligence institutions after identification, have conducted raids on an arms base in northern Kosovo, specifically in Zvecan. This house has been used to collect and distribute weapons to Serbian criminal groups”.
A large quantity of weapons have been discovered so far, including automatic weapons, bullets, hand grenades and explosives. At the scene, besides security institutions, KFOR representatives” have been present, Svechla has said.
Svechla has stressed that the north is moving step by step towards normality: “Rendi and the law will not be violated at any corner of Republic”.
