Prices have suffered increases in every sector. Life has been difficult for many families recently as a result of high prices.
Kosovo's Statistics Agency has announced by June to most basic products the price increase of 2.8 per cent compared to last June.
Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK), simultaneously a member of the Commission for Economy, says the situation is degrading at the expense of family economies.
He in an interview for Front Online, says the result of this situation is the government's bad policies.
It is true that the situation is degradation at the expense of family economies and at the expense of difficulties for each citizen's economy in Kosovo, as a result of two factors. But the main basic result is the bad policies of this government, which in principle have multiplied the pressure, damaged the way it did business, and in some form have brought the country's economy into a situation we are already seeing”, he told Front Online.
In the past five years, Shala says local production has dropped markedly as we are supplied with Serbian goods.
“If you see local production compared to each month in the last five years we have a decrease in local product capacities, and we have a high increase in imports, from Serbian goods mainly, but others that have not been to this extent what are currently”, he said.
Shala says the Law for Salaries has hit the most security and education sector.
He says that this law shows unhealthy logic.
“The most hit sectors with the Law of Salats have been the security and higher education sectors, it is surprising what is sound logic to hit the primary sectors of state functioning, which is the security sector, police, and other defence troops”, he said.
For these unions' discontent, Shala says they have found no understanding of power.
We have found no understanding, neither on commissions, nor at the level of parliamentary groups, and really the union requirements are completely legitimate. The crackdown on the Law of the Salaries has been and will remain one of the most unworthier blows for these categories that have been used by”, Shala declares.
