Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenbeg at a joint media conference with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, said KFOR will continue to fulfil its mandate by offering security to all.
Stoltenberg commenting on the attacks on KFOR members in the north by criminal gangs said they are unacceptable, meanwhile stressed that any Special Forces landing requires KFOR approval, Telegrafi reports.
“Every Special Forces landing requires reconciliation by KFOR and needs close co-ordination and consultation between authorities in Pristina and KFOR...”, Stoltenberg said.
He at the joint conference with the president of Kosovo said it is essential for NATO to avoid escalating further north of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has thanked NATO for present presence and assistance in Kosovo to provide security and stability.
The first of the state of Kosovo has said that attacks in the north against KFOR members, citizens and journalists are unacceptable, and attackers must be brought to justice.
