Zelensky's statement came several hours after warning alarms were issued throughout Ukraine for Russian air strikes, and authorities later announced they have destroyed several Moscow floating missiles.
Through a post in Telegram, Zelensky said he expects the new defence packages for Ukrainian soldiers to reach the following weeks.

Our partners have been informed of our needs. We are waiting for them to make decisions”, the Ukrainian president added.
According to Zelensky, a united world “is stronger than any aggressor. In September, we'll be more united”.
Zelensky's announcement came hours after the Ukrainian Army said it destroyed four Russian floating missiles. Authorities in Kiev said they have destroyed all missiles launched towards the Ukrainian capital.
The Ukrainian Army also said it is continuing its counteroffensive in Melitopol in the Zaporije region. This important city was taken from Russia shortly after Moscow began its unprotested invasion of Ukraine in February of last year.
