Some young people from the Democratic Party of Kosovo have gathered before the Government to express their disappointment over ruling policies.
“Pubs are getting rich: youth leaving”, “Prime Minister, are you seen, youth is leaving? “, “Prime Minister, how many new couples obtained affordable residences?”, “Why didn't you build the national stadium?”, “US and EU sanctions: The government acts on the youth perso”, “where the funds for digitalisation are”, were some of the slogans that emerged during the protest.
Arbnor Salihu, the head of Kosovo's Democratic Youth, has said that on International Youth Day, Kosovo's youth cannot celebrate but protest a government which, according to her, has no priority for youth.
Some 100,000 young people from Kosovo have left the past two years. Young people in Kosovo, each day are facing high cost of living, lack of infrastructure needed to develop their activities, lack of new jobs, etc.”, she has said.
One thing is true. This government is proving they didn't care about us. Therefore, we too have no reason to celebrate but only to protest”.
This protest of Kosovo's Democratic Youth is under “Youth Month”, during which PDK youth has organised a series of new and new activities across the country's entire territory.
