They prefer agreement with Kurti, heads of PDK ranks against crash through petition

The two leaders from the PDK ranks who are leading the municipality of Zvecan and Zubin Potok have rejected their departure through petition. They prefer reaching an agreement with the prime minister. Meanwhile, on the other hand, for the heads of state the petition is the favourite option to pave the way for new elections. That elections should be held [...]
That new elections should be held in the north following all tensions conveyed to the north, agreement has been reached. To announce new elections, there are several ways, but for Kurti, Osman, and Conjufe, the most democratic “” is through petition signed by 20 percent of citizens on the voting list.
The heads of the two northern municipalities -- Izmir Zeqiri in Zubin Potok and Ilir Peci in Zvecan -- do not think so. Both have been declared against the petition as a way to get them out of positions they have taken as a result of the April 23rd elections. They prefer reaching an agreement with Government.
Zubin Potok's chairman, Izmir Zeqiri, has said the best step is voluntary resignation after a political agreement between the government and the PDK.
“I have declared that voluntary resignation would be better after a political agreement, the Government-Democratic Party”, Zeqiri said, adding that the dismissal of the Ministry of Management of Local Power is not an adequate solution.
Meanwhile yesterday, Zvecan's first man, Ilir Peci, said that the petition approach does not like him, adding that there is the possibility of agreement with Prime Minister “for the benefit of citizens”.
This way of petitioning me isn't like me, because why give me the opportunity to download you, when we can be mayors together with the prime minister to reach a different agreement for the benefit of the citizens... The post-war PDK has only lost the election here in the Zvecan municipality once, we have always been first and I hope again we will be”, he said in an interview for the KP.
For the resignations were declared by the European Union, naming it the fastest way, but Kurti had repeatedly said he could not ask for their resignation.
For the removal of current mayors, already a group of officials are committed to drafting an administrative directive. To prepare the document, they have until September 1st.
The Task Group is responsible for drafting Administrative Guide for setting procedures and deadlines for the initiative of citizens to evacuate mayors. The task force must finalise administrative draft guidance, and proceed to the MAPL Secretary-General's Office by September 01th, 2023x1>, the MAPL decision said.
The Central Election Commission held meetings yesterday. The chairman of this institution, Kreshnik Radoniqi, when asked about the task force for drafting administrative instruction, said this was the Ministry's request and that the meetings are being held, but did not provide much clarification.
“are holding meetings... until we get a conclusion from the Commission we don't have what to declare. That's a request from the Ministry. They asked for a member. Let's see the days we come up with what we're going to do, right now we don't have an answer to”.
President Osmani, yesterday during a visit to the municipality of Dragas, has said it is a matter of days when it is expected to complete the legal basis for the departure of mayors to the north.
The case of the mayors of the northern municipalities is a matter of days when the legal basis for the sublaw and ministry's acts and the CEC will be completed that determines the terms and technical and procedural issues related to the implementation of Article 72 of the law on local self-government. This is also based on previous practices, when the rights already laid down and regulated by law, when they must be implemented, procedural issues are provided with lower acts - sublegal acts. After this is over, it belongs to the citizens in the north whether they want to exploit this right”, Osmani said.
The elections in the north were announced once for December, but due to the settlement of the barricades, president Osmani postponed them for 23 April. After the oath, the mayors in the north entered the municipal facilities, which sparked violent protests by Serb citizens there. After several meetings, Kosovo and the EU have agreed to have new elections in northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
