Petkov for Kurti's statements in northern Macedonia: Insulentness and Folly

The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkov, has commented on Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement in Tetovo during a rally that was organised for his visit. Kurti there said North Macedonia should be closer to Kosovo, Albania and Bulgaria and stay as far away from Serbia as possible.

Petkovic called this “face-to-face and multiple madness”.

“Kurti makes such statements by openly engaging in the destabilisation of northern Macedonia and Tetovo, which in the near past was at the centre of terrorism and Albanian separatism, attacks Belgrade because Serbia is Skopje's most consistent and sincere friend in the region”, Petkov said.

He made the common claim that Serbia is for the construction of <x0 frameworks of friendly co-operation with all those who make sure the region forever leaves behind the dark era of interethnic divisions and conflicts and enters the path of development and progress”.

Kurti yesterday on an informal visit to Tetovo was addressed with a call to power in Skopje.

The North Atlantic Alliance NATO, the European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom are the valuable platform that brings protection and security especially at this time when Russian imperialism restored the war to our European continent. Northern Macedonia -- the closer Kosovo, Albania and Bulgaria -- and the further away from Serbia, which is not being distanced either by Miloshqi or by Putin the closer it is, the closer North Macedonia will be membership in the European Union and the safer our Balkan region will be. And for that we must help and support northern Macedonia”, Kurti said.
