This meeting takes place after the raid by the Special Prosecutor's Order at the Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade (MINT), under suspicion of misuse with state reserves.
Two ministry officials and a businessman, who is reported to be close to Prime Minister Kurti, have been arrested during today's operation.
Kurti has been asked by reporters for today's developments, but has refused to respond, saying it is declared during the day.
MINT has come up with a communiqué, where it says he welcomes the Special Prosecutor's Investigations and that they are convinced that the provision with state reserves is made according to the law. Furthermore, MINT accuses the media that we reported on allegations of abuses with state reserves, that they have made “efforts to misinterpret”.
