Kosovo supplied by Russian biggest oil buyer

India, according to data from Dogan, turns out to be the biggest importer of oil in Kosovo this year. To this state, the European Union has warned of measures, the cause of being the biggest Russian oil buyer at the time of the invasion of Ukraine. The Oil Association said the supply is realised through a company [...]
He does not recognise Kosovo as a state, but India is the biggest importer of oil in the country this year.
Based on data provided by Dogan, from January to August 16th, nearly 200 million liters of oil have been imported from this state in Kosovo, or about half the total amount.
And against India, the European Union (BE) had warned of imposing measures, the reason it was the leading Russian oil buyer after the invasion of Ukraine, which then exports the matter to European countries.
Fadil Beryan, chairman of the Oil Association, says Kosovo provides supplies from companies in Albania and that it does not possess information that oil is sourced from India.
Kosovo is supplied by companies from Albania and that I do not have these statistics from which they are supplied. But 70 per cent of the oil we get in Kosovo comes from the company Gega Oil”, Berjanim has told KOHA.
And from “Gega Oil” admitted for TIME that oil recently comes from India, as its supplier has annual contracts with “Reliance Industries”, the largest Indian supply company.
The company that supplies the derivatives to us is called OMV Supply&Trending, a company of Austrian capital, which has desk trends in London and we work directly with London's office. This company is linked to all refinerys in the Mediterranean region, but even further. Concretically, oil comes from India recently, as our supplier has annual contracts with Reliance Industry, the largest Indian supply company. However, as I said, oil is purchased and in the Mediterranean, such as Italy, Greece, Malta, and Romania. But recently mainly from India”, Gega said.
Asked about EU warnings of measures, the owner, Genc Gega, says oil comes with a regular certificate of Indian origin.
“Nafta comes from a regular Indian origin certificate and for Albania there is no problem where India can be supplied, as long as the country of origin is not under sanctions or embargo”, it has stressed.
According to data from Customs, the rest of the oil is imported from Greece, Turkey, Northern Macedonia, Italy and Saudi Arabia.
The price for a litre of imported oil is an average of 65 cents, which is then added to an additional 18 percent of the price value as an added tax and 36 cents to increase the value to 1 euro and 12 cents.
This price is then added to the cost of transportation and other expenses, which are estimated to be 20 cents.
But, currently a litre of oil in the market behaves around 1 euro and 50 cents.
The price of derivatives has not been lowered, although weeks ago the Ministry of Commerce has made a decision to appoint a trade margin. Since mass entry into force, the price for oil derivatives has increased by about 10 cents per litre.
