Scandal in Serbia: Vuccikits come up with fake supporters on social networks, list of over 14,000 profiles published

Serbia has been shocked by a scandal that has affected the political scene led by President Aleksandar Vuciq. A list of 14,310 profiles linked to the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) have been discovered on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok social networks, writes “Klix”. In these accounts, “robots” connected to SNS send messages [...]
On the other hand, “trobots attack and insult those who do not share the same opinion, especially the Serb opposition and protesters who have been out on the streets for weeks and demand Vuciki's departure from the political scene.
The list contains specific names of “bots” and 3162 of them have been identified as <x2-professional” that conduct this task in parallel with their social employment or permanent function. Many of them are city administrations, ministries and other state or local institutions, school principals, faculty professors and other people whose funding is based on the state budget.
According to Serbian media reports, some of them receive tariffs for this service to help them overcome inflation and the difficult social situation.
“Bots” is divided into four categories. The first are classical robots whose task is to write positive and supportive comments about the SNS and Vuciqi's political movements. The second category is so - called superspecialists, mainly employed in state and public services, who react to emergency situations and can express love for the leader or hatred for the enemies.
After these accounts were discovered, some were erased or disabled.
A few years ago, some 8,500 accounts praising the SNS and Vucinqiqi were removed from Twitter. Over 40 million tweets were published by those accounts.
