“After four months, reduced drug prices in Kosovo”

The same medical product, patients often buy at different prices at various drugs. Even the price of herbs in a city can be seen whether the same is purchased during the day or during the night. Thus, the chairman of the Kosovo Association of Pharmacists, Arian Jakupi, in Klan Kosova, has suggested.

But these problems will be regulated by the Law on the Price of Medical Products, which was voted into the Kosovo Assembly on 13 July. Jakupi has welcomed this action by MPs. He, at the moderator, Enis Recica, said that after this action of the Parliament, it is expected that President Vjosa Osmani will be decreed within two weeks. After that step, according to Jakupi, it is a four-month term, when the Commission to regulate the prices of medical products will review prices, and after so many months the prices of medicines are expected to be adjusted through all Barnators in Kosovo.

Arian Jakupi, in Eyes 7, suggested that after this law, patients in Kosovo are expected to be spared about 10m euros in a year, as a result of lowering prices as a result of the law. In addition to the prices, Jakupi, in Klan Kosova, added that drug smuggling will be fought and professionalism will increase to pharmacists.
