For this reason, Italy's deputy prime minister, Antonio Tayan, has called for a meeting his counterparts from Albania, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.
Taani has said his country wants to play a leading role in the region to ensure peace and stability.
“Tensions in northern Kosovo and in Bosnia and Herzegovina require new efforts. Italy wants to play a leading role in ensuring peace and stability. On July 27th, I will meet with the foreign ministers of Albania, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria in Brindisi. My proposal was strongly supported. We want Corridor 8 to be only a vector of development, but also of political and security co-operation”, Italy's deputy prime minister, Antonio Taani, has said at the same time.
We remember that Italy had previously appointed Francesco Tallon, senior adviser to Italy's prime minister for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
