Social Twitter network owner Elon Muck said on Sunday that he is thinking of changing the logo of the platform, writing: “S we will soon say goodbye to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all birds”.
In a Twitter post, in the early hours of Sunday, the billionaire added: “if a good log with X is published tonight, we'll use it worldwide tomorrow since”.
Musk has published an image of an ixi enlightening, and then on a Twitter chat audio Spaces has responded with “po”, when asked whether the Twitter logo will change.
This was supposed to happen a long time ago”, he said, Reuters reported.
Under Musk's turbulent leadership since buying Twitter in October of last year, the company has changed the business name on X Corp, reflecting the billionaire's vision to create a “super app”, like China's WeChat.
The Twitter website says the network logo, featuring a blue bird, “is our most popular asset”.
So we protect it so strongly”, it says further there.
The bird has been temporarily replaced in April by the Scherovaluta Dogecoin dog, boosting its market value.
The company has faced widespread criticism from users and marketing professionals, when Musk announced earlier this month that Twitter would limit how much “cation” per day could read to users.
Limitations helped boost the rival network, Threads, owned by Meta Platforms, which registered 100 million users within five days after launching for extensive use.
The latest Twitter trouble was a lawsuit filed Tuesday, claiming that the company owes at least $500m to its former employees after their dismissal.
Since Musk bought Twitter, the company has fired almost half of its employees to reduce costs. /rel
