On the 13th anniversary of recognition as legal of Kosovo's independence by The Hague International Court, journalist and show director “Opion”, Blndi Fevziu, has visited former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and 3 other KLA leaders facing trial at the Special Court.
Through a social networking post, Fevziu writes that Thaci is convinced of his innocence and will be confirmed by the court.
“Today is the 13th anniversary of the day when The Hague International Court has recognised Kosovo's independence as legal on February 17th 2008. Today we have come with a group of friends to visit former Kosovo President, former reader of the Declaration of Independence and then Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. Hashim Thaci, who is at the special court in The Hague, what you see behind my back. It's been here since the fall of 2020. While with him are Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and Kadri Wessel. Hashim Thaci seems to be in a very good condition, I am calling him emotional, although he believes endlessly in his innocence, is convinced of his innocence and is also convinced that this will be confirmed by the court. As if they are convinced not only he is, but also other KLA leaders behind this door that the Kosovo Liberation Army has been a military and political force that has fought only in the defence of its own population, only in the defence of its own country and has never committed crimes against Serbs, against Albanians and war crimes, nor crimes against humanity. Virtually a greeting to all who follow us even on behalf of Hashim Thaci and other KLA leaders and an absolute conviction that the truth as long as it lasts, that the Kosovo Liberation Army was a force that fought for the freedom of its country and one of the most glorious wars Albanians have had in their history. From The Hague greeting”, Fevziu said.
