After arrest, lawyer Besnik Berisha extends to Cardiology

Lawyers Besnik Berisha has been sent for treatment at Cardiology Clinic.

He has been sent for treatment there after being assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.

Berisha, along with three other people, has been arrested Thursday in an action that has been carried out on the ordinance of the Foundation Court in Ferizaj.

The prosecution has announced that the houses and escorting premises of the four arrested and two other suspected persons have been temporarily seized.

According to police, other detainees besides Berisha are the initials N.J., I.S. and R.C.

Berisha's defender, lawyer Naim Rudari, in a proposal for the signal said his arrest is illegal and arbitrary, the Signal newspaper reports.

Rudari said this is revenge of unscrupulous power for his critical voice to negative phenomena in the justice system.

He also said they appealed for the subject to be carried to P. SRK and secure an independent and undicted investigation.

The arrest of lawyer Besnik Berisha is arbitrary, illegal, and represents a dangerous precedent for judicial security in the country. It's a unscrupulous revenge of power for his critical voice to negative phenomena in the justice system, and in particular, his media presentations for successive power scandals. What each can achieve is that Besnik Berisha has not violated any law, has committed no crime”, he said.

Tuta Rudari said the prosecutor failed to present even a single test for the suspicion he burdens on Berisha lawyer and, according to him, he is a hostage to the system because of his personality, mission and profession, his professional courage.

Furthermore, he has called on the State Chief Prosecutor to stop persecution of lawyer Berisha and to carry the subject to the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Despite our insistence that the prosecutor present even a single proof of the suspicion that burdens lawyer Berisha, the prosecutor failed to introduce him not because the law wouldn't allow him, but because there is none and there is none. Berisha is a hostage to the system today because of his personality, mission and profession, his professional courage and thus will without any doubt prove. We appeal to the chief state prosecutor to stop the prosecution of attorney Berisha, carry the subject to the SPRK and secure an independent and undicted investigation. Today, I have taken a lawyer for his critical voice, not illegal acts. This is scandal”, Rudari said further.

He made it known that he would use all legal means to represent arbitrariity and counterligity in the case of lawyer Berisha.

“We will use all legal means to disseminate arbitrity and lawlessness in the case of lawyer Besnik Berisha, because we are convinced that this for which he was arrested is scandal. The arrest constitutes a crime and will thus prove the following”, lawyer Rudari said.
