The clinic Jean Mitrev is in final negotiations for strategic partnership with the Dutch Balkan Alliance Healthcare fund. The negotiations concern the Fund's entry into the clinic partner, which will enable this highest health institution to expand its activities and raise the standards in medicine in Macedonia to an even higher level.
This strategic partnership is a support of the project already launched to turn the Jean Mitrev Clinic into a regional medical centre. In this way, we become stronger financially to grow faster and to develop into a truly regional center with a much higher standard health service supply. According to the agreement, Dr. Jean Mitrev, as before, will continue to lead the entire clinic transformation operation to the regional center where new staff of doctors will be trained and developed in cardiosurgeon, as well as other activities. There will be greater cooperation with foreign experts, and our knowledge will be used for Dutch-owned medical centres, meaning expanding clinical activity Jean Mitrev at regional level”, declared by the clinic Jean Mitrev.
Balkan Alliance Healthcare was founded in 2006 by several European and American investment funds such as Southeast Europe Equity Fund II (SEEF II)), managed by SEAF Smalls Enterprise Assistance Funds. It is led by David Lyle Mathewson and Andrei Christian Cricklywy, who are well-known businessmen in the field of investments in the health, telecommunications, media and financial services.
As for the health sector, their investments are in Albania and Kosovo, where they own 6 medical centres. The regional enlargement plan is: Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey and Romania. The Fund's value is currently 320m USD.
