Three Kosovo police officials, who are in custody with the decision of institutions in Serbia, are expected to be visited today by their family members at the Kralev detention centre.

The news of the KALLXO.com has confirmed the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, the Fazliu Stand.

MPJD through the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Belgrade, which is in constant communication with family and police officials, has been announced that the visit of Kosovo police family members is expected to take place during today.

Likewise, the MPJD has confirmed that all the medications necessary for police official Sheme Mustafa, who has health problems have already been sent.

On June 14, 2023, three Kosovo police officers were kidnapped by Serbian authorities. According to the Kosovo Police, the three arrested officers have been detained in the vicinity of Leposaviqi.

So the three police officers, on June 16th, imposed the 30-day detention measure, and there were continued demands by state and international officials for their release.

Their release was again requested on 22 June to Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq during the bilateral meeting he had with European Union mediators for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Even EU High Representative Josep Borrell after meetings he had with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and with the Serbian president said the 22-member meetings focused on finding a way to calm the situation on the ground; how to organise new elections and how to return to dialogue.
One of the demands he stressed to the Serbian president is that the three officers must be released urgently and unconditionally.

As of May 26th, Serbian citizens are protesting in the country's north to reject the entry of elected mayors on April 23rd 2023, through municipal facilities in Leposaviq, Zubin Potok's Zvecan.

During protests with dozens of KFOR members and protesters remained injured. Injured during these days were Kosovo Police officials.

Physical injuries also remained journalists of various media who have been attacked several times since the start of the protests during their reports from this area.

The media and even Kosovo Police cars were broken and burned.

Several people were arrested for the attacks on journalists, and one of those arrested during those days is suspected to be involved in attacks on KFOR members, as well as attacks on the offices of the Municipal Election Commission, the KKZ, in December last year in the north.

The person suspected of committing these criminal acts is Milun Milenkovic, known as Llyun, who was arrested on June 13th 2023.

Only a day after his arrest, Kosovo Police had confirmed on 14 June that three patrol border police officials had been kidnapped by Serb forces within Kosovo's territory.
