“The World Justice Project lists Kosovo first in Europe and the second globally for major improvement in rule of law. In Transparency International's index, Kosovo has improved for 20 countries in the past two years. Kosovo has improved for 23 countries in terms of media freedom. The conclusion of the initial phase of membership is an important moment on our way towards full integration in the International Community and its citizens towards benefits from the Council of Europe and its” mechanisms, he said.
The Director for Co-ordination of the Council of Europe Programmes, Claus Neukrich, said they have helped Kosovo in the fight against corruption and money laundering.
