EU for Kurti-Vucciq meeting: Still no response from the parties

European Union spokesman Peter Stano has said the EU still has no response from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, for the invitation to a meeting this week in Brussels.
We've said a lot about our expectations, possible consequences and steps. The main question is to have a meeting here in Brussels, and about that, at the moment, I have nothing to specify”, Stano said, during a media conference.
However, Stano added that “by the end of the week, there are still times”, but that he cannot confirm any date or time for the meeting invited by High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell.
We are waiting and hoping that we can have the date and time of the appointment and then discuss the modalities. We don't have time to waste. Now is the time for action, not words and speculation”, Stano said.
REL diplomatic sources say the meeting could take place on 22 June or 23 June, while also cite the possibility that Kurti and Vuciq do not have direct meetings but only bilateral meetings with Borrell.
As of late May, tensions in northern Kosovo increased after young Albanian mayors in the north, with Kosovo Police assisting, entered municipal buildings amid opposition from local Serbs.
The European Union has let the parties know, according to EU diplomatic sources, that there will be consequences if they show no responsibility and readiness for meeting and immediate steps to reduce tensions.
A day earlier, Kurt said it was “willing and interested” to go to Brussels.
While at a meeting with Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orban, Vuciq has reiterated that he will not attend the meeting in Brussels until the Belgrade conditions are met:
