Media teams from Pristina have today been the target of a brutal attack while performing their work in Leposavic.
Following the attacks on journalists has reacted to the Association of Kosovo Journalists, who has called on the Kosovo Police urgently, and the international presence in this municipality to provide security to journalists and cameramen who are staying in that municipality.
RTK's cameraman, Bardh Bekteshi, has been physically attacked as seen in the disturbing video sent to the Kosovo Journalists' Association, by field teams.
In addition to physical assault, Becketshi has had his camera broken.
In a statement to AGK, journalist Venera Jojaj has indicated that protesters have stoned the media teams, Tv1, RTV Dukagini, RTK, Klan Kosova and KTV.
We've been stoned by a couple of colleagues while they've been running away, they've fallen, and our cameraman, Bardh Becketshi, has pushed him down and then physically attacked him, causing head and body injuries”.
The AGK, strongly condemns this attack, simultaneously suggests that all these attacks that took place in the country's north will be informed of international organisations dealing with journalists' safety and media freedom.
